They Pepper-Sprayed Him While He Saved His Ferraris

  • Three heavy-handed police officers detained the owner of the facility.
  • Security cameras show the owner saving multiple vehicles from the fire.

Footage from a security camera at an exotic car dealership in the Netherlands has gone viral, showing the chaotic scene when the owner was confronted by police while trying to save his high-end vehicles from a nearby fire. The incident, which took place last week in Moordrecht, was a spectacle of confusion, and if cooler heads had prevailed, we probably wouldn’t be writing about it right now.

It’s understood that a fire broke out in the building next to Gräper Automotive, and as local fire crews rushed to the scene, the business owner tried to save as many of his vehicles as possible. He was seen moving an Audi Q7 parked outside the showroom, then removing two bollards to drive out a Ferrari 812 Superfast, an Audi RS Q8, a Ferrari 488 GTB, a Mercedes-AMG GT R, and several other cars, including a classic pickup truck.

But he wasn’t done. The owner then dashed into the workshop, driving out a BMW M5 Touring, a Mercedes G63, an Audi RS6, and an Audi RS5. As this vehicle evacuation was happening, the local police and fire crews arrived, and that’s when things took a turn for the worse.

A clip shows the business owner attempting to walk into his workshop, seemingly to help guide out one of his workers driving a Ferrari F12. However, he’s aggressively pushed back by a police officer. Two other officers then arrive, one of whom grabs the man from behind to try and restrain him.

He’s then aggressively pushed away by one officer, and, moments later, gets pepper-sprayed in the face. He was placed in handcuffs and arrested, seemingly for no good reason.

According to someone on Instagram who says they know the owner, the firefighters had been assisting the man with pulling the vehicles out of the facility before police jumped in and ordered him to leave the property.
