When it comes to cars, they get choices that mainstream buyers wouldn\u2019t even dream of. Take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/cadillac-celestiq\/\">Cadillac Celestiq<\/a> for example. It\u2019s not the flashiest color in the spectrum, but it does a nice job of highlighting the car\u2019s sculpted lines. It\u2019s inside where things get really wild, though. <\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>When Customization Goes Off the Rails<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cabin features several bright blue panels, including on the door cards and the seats. The carpet and floor mats get the same bright blue color \u2013 but the blue paint doesn\u2019t really match the blue paneling in the cabin. Still, that\u2019s not even the most puzzling part.<\/p>\n<p>That issue would be the addition of lots of bright red and stark white in the cabin. The entire dash, steering wheel, and bits of the door cards get red upholstery. The center console tunnel has a white sitting atop it. The public consensus? Less \u201cmodern art\u201d and more \u201csuperhero tie-in.\u201d Here are just a few.<\/p>\n<p>One person quipped, \u201cLooks like the Ghostbusters car.\u201d Another asked, \u201cDid the Cobra Commander special order that?!\u201d And then there was: \u201cShaq Special?\u201d followed by \u201cOf the 7k different interior choices. They chose THIS?!?\u201d and the coup de gr\u00e2ce, \u201cWhen is Captain America taking delivery of his Celestiq?\u201d. Put simply, we hope whoever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/design\/\">designed<\/a> it isn\u2019t reading the comment section.<\/p>\n<p>To be fair, not every reaction was negative. A few commenters did express appreciation for the design. One called it \u201cfuturistic and classic in one,\u201d while another simply said, \u201cI like the interior color choice.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s the thing about cars at this level. When you\u2019re spending well over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/07\/we-visit-cadillac-house-home-of-the-celestiq\/\">$340,000 on something custom-built<\/a>, you\u2019re not looking for mass approval and you\u2019re a bit more willing to be playful with cabin colors.
