After all, with 1,064 hp on tap from its 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, how can it not be quick? However, the new flagship <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/corvette\/\">Corvette<\/a> recorded a 0-60 mph (96 km\/h) time of just 2.2 seconds during Car &amp; Driver\u2019s test.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/06\/2025-corvette-e-ray-review-supercar-test\/\">I Drove The 2025 Corvette E-Ray And It\u2019s A True Supercar In Everything But Price<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Importantly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/reviews\/a64838311\/2025-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-drive\/\">C&amp;D<\/a> uses a one-foot rollout for all of its 0-60 mph tests, so in reality, the Corvette ZR1 didn\u2019t actually launch from a standstill to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds. A one-foot rollout typically reduces a car\u2019s 0-60 mph time by about 0.2 or 0.3 seconds. Nevertheless, it\u2019s an impressive feat. With the engine sitting over the rear axle, traction gets a boost where it matters most. Add in a set of ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires at 275 mm wide up front and 345 mm out back, and you\u2019ve got a setup that means business, even without fancy front-drive assistance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Quarter-Mile Numbers Back It Up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not just the 0-60 sprint that is impressive. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/05\/zr1-returns-to-indy-500-will-it-avoid-the-wall-this-time\/\">The Corvette ZR1<\/a> hits 100 mph (161 km\/h) in 4.5 seconds and 130 mph (209 km\/h) in just 7.1. The quarter mile? That\u2019s over in 9.5 seconds at 149 mph (240 km\/h). And just to make that even more impressive, all of this was achieved on an unprepped surface, not a drag strip with sticky compound or VHT.
