This updated infotainment software can already be found in the EX30, EX90, and facelifted XC90, but now it will come to every new Volvo for 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/09\/facelifted-volvo-xc90-has-a-bigger-screen-and-a-21-cupholder-but-is-that-really-enough\/\">Facelifted Volvo XC90 Debuts With Bigger Screens And Fresher Looks<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will then be delivered to existing vehicles with Google built-in via an over-the-air update. This means around 2.5 million cars \u2013 including some built as far back as 2020 \u2013 will be getting a new infotainment experience. Volvo said the update will be coming to certain versions of the C40, XC40, EX40, EC40, S60, V60, V60 Cross Country, XC60, S90, V90, V90 Cross Country, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/volvo-xc90\/\">XC90<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>The company didn\u2019t say much about the UX, but stated it has been designed to \u201cmake complex tasks simple.\u201d The automaker added they used real-world data and customer feedback to ensure owners will be able to interact with their car in a safe and enjoyable way.<\/p>\n<section class=\"type:slideshow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" data-src=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" src=\"\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><\/section>\n<p>Putting software aside, 2026 models will also be getting an infotainment hardware upgrade courtesy of Qualcomm. This promises to make Android Automotive-based infotainment systems more than twice as fast as outgoing models. Customers can also expect better responsiveness as well as graphics generation that is up to 10 times faster.<\/p>\n<p>Volvo is also making adaptive cruise control standard equipment across its entire U.S. lineup. That\u2019s a welcome move and one that\u2019s likely overdue given the company\u2019s premium positioning.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the highlights are two new colors called Aurora Silver and Forest Lake. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/volvo-xc40\/\">XC40<\/a> will also be getting a new Black Edition styling package, which will mirror the one offered on the XC60.
