All very on-brand. However, someone over at Toyota Europe either missed the memo, because they posted two extra photos, this time revealing parts of the interior.<\/p>\n<p>From those images, it\u2019s clear the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/01\/2025-toyota-prius-adds-nightshade-version-but-is-pricier-than-last-year\/\">cabin styling leans more Prius<\/a> than Camry. The standout features include a freestanding digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment screen sitting high on the center console. However, it might not be as extensive as most full redesigns that we have come to know. Much like the latest Camry, the new model is expected to retain the existing platform and powertrains. Even today, it still looks fresh. It sports wrap-around DRLs with hammerhead inner sections and a honeycomb grille. We expect a few differences from our preliminary illustration that\u2019s based on prototypes spied in Japan, so the final product may look squarer with more contrasting elements.<\/p>\n<p>From the side, the RAV4 maintains its recognizable silhouette, with two-tone roof options and bold contrasting lower cladding. The glasshouse and pillar layout are nearly identical to the current model. Around back, you\u2019ll likely see a full-width LED taillight cluster paired with squared-off lower cladding that features silver inlays for a modern touch.<\/p>\n<p>Given Honda\u2019s recent announcement of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/01\/new-honda-cr-v-coming-in-2025-with-rugged-trailsport-variant\/\">more rugged CR-V TrailSport trim<\/a> coming later this year as part of a mid-cycle facelift, it\u2019s highly likely that Toyota won\u2019t want to be left behind in this growing segment. The vehicle in question is believed to be the successor to the Toyota Wildlander, a China-only version of the RAV4, developed in partnership with FAW and sold by GAC domestically.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to the international RAV4, the current Wildlander features distinct front and rear fascias. However, if the redesigned Camry is anything to go by, expect higher-quality materials and an improved tech roster compared to the current car. Internal dimensions? We don\u2019t anticipate much change here.<\/p>\n<p>The tech roster will likely include an expansive infotainment display with sharper graphics and support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa for enhanced voice recognition control of various functions. Instead, the 2026 model could go hybrid-only, featuring a powertrain similar to the latest Camry, with slight improvements in both power and efficiency over the current version.<\/p>\n<p>If the Camry\u2019s setup is any indication, the new RAV4 may feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors in front-wheel drive form, producing a combined 225 hp (168 kW \/ 228 PS). The all-wheel-drive variant will add a rear-mounted motor, enhancing traction in all conditions and boosting total output to 232 hp (173 kW \/ 235 PS). After the launch of the standard hybrid models, a plug-in hybrid variant is also expected to join the lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The more significant news lies in the possibility of a fully electric variant. Details are slim, but word is revisions to the TNGA-K platform have considered full electrification.
