- A new report is shedding light on Acura’s future, which is said to include a new NSX.
- Officials have previously suggested the electric sports car could arrive in 2027 or 2028.
- Acura’s lineup will reportedly be largely refreshed and redesigned by the end of the decade.
Earlier this year, Acura revealed an RSX prototype and confirmed a facelifted Integra was in the works. Now we’re starting to learn more about the company’s long-term plans, which are said to include a new NSX.

Starting there, Acura has been hinting at a new NSX for years as the company introduced the Electric Vision Design Study at Monterey Car Week in 2023. Roughly a year later, Honda’s then global executive vice president confirmed plans for a new sports car due in 2027 or 2028. At the time, he said “We may not call it an NSX, but it’s kind of an NSX-type of vehicle.”

While we haven’t heard much about the car since then, GlobalData is reporting it’s still coming and is expected to ride on the 0 Series platform. The dedicated electric vehicle architecture is set to underpin an assortment of upcoming vehicles including the Honda 0 SUV and 0 Saloon.
Besides the electric supercar, we can expect a facelifted ZDX to arrive in 2027. It could eventually be replaced by an all-new model, which is developed and produced in-house.
Sticking with crossovers, the redesigned MDX will reportedly debut in the second-half of 2027 and go into production by early 2028. A new RDX could arrive in 2027, get a facelift in 2030, and bow out in 2033. It’s expected to ride on the Honda HA platform and offer a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine as well as a hybrid option.
2027 could also see the company introduce a new TLX. It would battle the redesigned Lexus ES, but little else is known about it at this point.
Speaking of cars, an Integra successor could arrive in mid-2028 as a 2029 model. The follow-up shouldn’t be much of a surprise as the current car finished 2024 as Acura’s third best-selling vehicle in the United States.
That brings us to their newest entry, which is the ADX. GlobalData suggests production could be moved to the United States, but this largely depends on how the tariff situation pans out. Regardless of what happens, a facelifted model is expected to arrive in 2028. A redesigned crossover could bow in time for the 2031 model year and offer electric and ICE power.
